Is this free to the public to go and walk around for the day? I can't find any information on admission or prices on their website.

Yes. Entry is free during the open hours. (Mon-Thu: 9am to 7pm; Fri-Sat: 9am to 5pm; Sun: Noon to 5pm)

There are wonderful hiking trails throughout the UEC and connecting area open to all of us. Please enjoy.

Completely free. They welcome visitors to visit the animals, read a magazine next to the wood stove fireplace, rent a board game, or have a little picnic or use the free wifi at one of the large tables on the second story -- all free! Like a outdoorsy public library space.
