Our tank doors don't even have latches! The doors just rest closed with a little bit of gravity or friction and open with a simple push. We're also happy to tell you you don't even need to close the door if it makes you uncomfortable, or you can prop it open a crack with a washcloth. It often happens that once you relax in the tank for a while with the door open, it starts seeming appealing to get full darkness by closing it, but if it doesn't, that's fine. No one will tell you you "did it wrong" or anything. There are call buttons in the tanks if you have questions or want help for any reason. Floating is pretty safe. If you're unsteady on your feet or would have difficulty lifting something like a can of soup over your head, let us know and we'll make sure to help. Like a pool, there's some risk of slipping and falling, so we have lots of hand-holds. And if you have epilepsy you should talk to your doctor first.
Yeah, no locking. Very safe and friendly. I think if you have bad anxiety or something else that makes it unsafe for you to be left alone with your own mind, maybe don't, but I cant think of anything else that would make it unsafe for anyone. I love it
They also have a very nice walk thru before hand. In fact, it would be great if you stopped by to take a look. They would be happy to tell you all about it. I loved it when I went recently. You are in complete control while letting everything go all at the same time.
You're never locked in the tank, that's like nightmare scenario. It's easy opening lightweight door that they also provide a towel in the case that you want to wedge that to leave a little light shining in the tank.
