Rob is right. Also the sale of concession food helps keep the drive in in business. They are on a tight budget with the new projector that they had to buy to keep it open.

To bring in outside food you need to purchase a permit for $10. If you bring it in and don't purchase a permit and get caught it is $20 dollars. They do patrol and check.
