Parking was valet only so we left the car at the hotel and walked.

They offer valet parking. Other than that you'll have to find a spot on the street or in a garage.
There's valet, but likely pricey. There's two close garages on Ohio between Wabash and Rush or another on Illinois just east of Rush. I'd suggest using something like spot hero though to find something that might be a little more reasonable.
I used an Uber, so I don't know about parking. With Chicago, one never knows about parking. Lol
