Annual America the Beautiful Pass also works in place of the Annual Northwest Forest Service Pass. https://www.discovernw.org/recreation-passes-faq.html
I agree with the prior answers and I was recently there and the sign clearly states that only a Northwest forest service pass or a Northwest Recreation pass will work... that being said, as you're driving down Bear Creek Road trying to find it, GPS doesn't work very good out there therefore you will end up following the blank forestry signs... we can be a little aggravating and you can feel as if you're getting lost but trust me the hike is so worth it!
No. You need a Northwest Forrest service pass. It is only $5 and you can even buy online.
Unfortunately, a state pass won't work as this site is administered by the Forest Service. You can purchase a day pass at the site. A Northwest Recreation pass will also work
