The park was easy to find and had bathroom facilities but I wish they had more parking. I went very early and was basically alone on the hiking trail, I did encounter more people on the way down. The parking lot was full when I returned and people were parking on the street. Also, the trail (cascade head south) is very well marked.

We stopped by the park on the first day of spring 2019 and enjoyed watching a herd of about 40 elk graze, drink, play and get ready for their evening.
