Nice little campground close to Lincoln City. The host was helpful and the permanent tenants are pleasant. We'll definitely visit again.

We stayed in the tent sites down by the river. You can hear the river in the background and was very soothing. The campsite we were in (T3) was large enough for more than the 2 tents we had. Very clean with great tables and fire pit (and a trash can which was wonderful) the site is in a little grove of trees so feels like your really in nature. The tent sites are protected from a lot of the road noise. Our time here was very quiet and the service was great. If you stay here you do need to respect that this is also a lot of people's permanent homes and they are protective of themselves and their environment. Personally this made me feel safer here as 2 women traveling together, the fact that there were people really caring about the place. The only negative that i can offer here is that the security lights are bright in the tent. They did create a vibe of safety though so i was happy to have them on.

Way too many security lights installed to be called camping. The man caretaker has very poor customer service skills and is hypersensitive. You get welcomed with not a smile and that you for your business but rather a full typed page of rules and threats of being booted from the property if any of the listed rules be broken.... Other than that and you can avoid the old timer and you have a sleeping mask for the excessive security lighting the river spot is lovely and it's a close enough drive to the coast. I'd reccomend to the care taker to step up your positive customer service, I'd been more likely to return

WORST camping experience I have ever had!! Doesn’t even deserve the one star. I was planning my camping trip in Oregon for over 6 months, Lisa was extremely accommodating and kind, which made me think it was going to be a good stay. However her husband on the other hand is CRAZY! My boyfriend and I supposedly “turned into the park” too fast (keep in mind you are turning off of a highway, so we probably turned at about 10-15 MPH) so he came over to our campsite waving a gun in our faces saying he was going to shoot out all four of our tires and we could get towed out of there. First of all, I had never once met or seen this man, so to have him come over and wave a revolver in our face and threaten to shoot out my tires was intimidating enough, let alone for him to proceed to yell at us for 5 minutes (with very vulgar words and the gun still in hand.) Then to top it off, Lisa watched everything happen. We packed up our stuff and left to a different campground as soon as we could. No one ONCE apologized for this mans ridiculous and uncalled for behavior, and when I talked to the assistant manager about it, he had a loss for words and acted like it was an okay thing for him to do. As an avid traveler and camper, I never in my life have had a camping experience this awful and scary, I hope no one ever has to experience what we did there. Edit: as a response to Elizabeth’s comment, we did not drive 30 MPH through the camp ground, we didn’t drive over 15 MPH as we couldn’t have even safely turned in my SUV at 30 MPH. nor did we slam on our breaks at any time. But beyond that, there would have been MANY better ways to address the issue rather than having a stranger threatening us with a gun. I still regret not filing a police report.
