Do they use fresh eggs for breakfast sandwiches and do they microwave them or properly cook them? Also, hearing rumors that the donuts are stale. Anyone else experiencing that?

Eggs are microwaved, sausage too. They crank out a breakfast sandwich in under two minutes! I dont go here for donuts, so I cant speak to that, but my experience at most socal DD is that they arent as fresh as east coast. Not stale, but not fresh out of the fryer.

Thanks Mike. I experienced the same at the downtown location (not stale, but not fresh). Wasn't thrilled. I'll just stick with Marvelous Muffins in Point Loma, around the corner then. Fresh eggs, not microwaved, and fresh donuts and muffins daily. The blueberry... mmmm... indeed marvelous. Family owned and operated... great service with a smile.
