We've been twice on the weekend, once mid-morning and once after lunch and it was pretty full both times
I feel it's always pretty busy, especially with the kids being out if school
Either early in the morning when it opens or later in the day.
Definitely go off season on a week day. Try friday or even a monday. The price is better and there are less crowds.
There is no "least busy" on weekends. When we went there was a line before they opened. Maybe the last few hours they're open would be the best bet for less crowds but no guarantee.
