We went yesterday while it was pouring and saw a ton of animals. All the reptiles are inside also the sloth and a couple monkeys were inside. We saw all kinds of birds, sun bear, lion, elephants, red panda, giant pandas. Wear a poncho and have a good time!
Some do, some don't. The ones inside buildings are generally always available. It's mostly up to the animals. They get wet in the rain in the wild. If it's raining more than a little bit, the zoo will close to human guests though.
If it starts raining heavily they a close. It was a overcast the whole day i was there. Only animal i didn't get to see was the tigers
