It's worth it :) we just went yesterday and we still had a blast all 3 of my kids 14,11,and 4 did too.
We were just there last week and the giraffes and zebras habitats are under renovation but it was still beyond worth it to visit! I was there with my four kids aged 8 and younger and we stayed the whole day!
Aa far as the giraffes and zebras, they were not available due to renovations being done to their enclosures. If you plan your walk out with their map it would take a better part of your day with young ones, at least it did for us lol. You mentioned you live 3 hrs away, I'd pack a lunch and plan on eating dinner in Atlanta as well.
Hello Shelisha it takes about 2 hours to see everything but it depends on your pace. We do have giraffes and Zebras out at different times because they are still getting acclimated to each other. You can always call us to find out what animals are out that day. We hope you decided to come see us, have a great day.
I was just there a couple of weeks ago and the giraffes were there. I don't remember for sure about the zebra
If all you only want to see zebras and giraffes then no. They have many other animals like giant pandas. They also have a playground and carousel I think your children under 8 would enjoy. The playground is free but the carousel does cost an extra $3.
