Yes, they take cards. They have to because the food, while tasting fantastic, is overpriced, making meals cost well over 10 dollars, if you don't have dessert. You'd have to bring a lot of cash if you were feeding a family or group. Philippe's is a part of LA history and I will never stop coming down to have a French dip at least once a year, though I would come more often if they made it more affordable
