For over a hundred years The Neighborhood Grocery was a Gathering Place particularly for older men. I play checkers told stories. It was always a large block of cheese with a giant cutting knife and they would buy a chunk of cheese and there was a common Barrel filled with crackers cheese and crackers for the lunch.
