Hi, do you know if Hollywood Plum tree is ideal for the Fremont area? If not, what variety do you suggest as I am looking for sweet plums. I already have Santa Rosa & does really well but I wanted to try another variety.

Plums should do fine in the warm micro climate of Fremont. Fremont was nearly all farm land 50 years ago, from wheat to cauliflower and people have grown all sorts of fruit trees. Cherryland in Hayward good its name from all the cherry orchards that used to be there. There is very little you can't grow here.
