It's always free to use the trails also along Alameda Creek itheres trail free free free. They open at dawn and close a dark. I suggest going thru the town of Niles on the back side of the lakes more trails more parks and it's always free. Injoy your walk you won't be disappointed.
The trails are always open. If the main gate to parking lot is closed then you can park on any of the side streets then walk to Quary Lakes. There are also entrances (walking) from Alameda Creek trail.
It should be open since holiday is the next day
