Wow I'm Absolutely Thrilled we got a chance 2 take sometime away 4 ourselves and visited this beautiful place! Located in the heart of Fremont California, this Quarry Lakes are home to many wildflowers and wildlife. A Rare Fruit Grove the Peninsula contains both Native and Exotic Trees, and shrubs. The Gardens here grows various plants, Flowers, and assorted Roses, which captured many visitors to this Park. Thanks to the Restoration projects in the park, the area has attracted many Wood Ducks, Blue Herons, Water Birds, Northern Flickers, Tree Swallows, and many other kinds of birds. Definitely Delightful for a Nature Lover like me! The Rainbow And Horseshoe Lakes are currently open to the public for water contact. Fishing is allowed with a permit. These two lakes are stocked with Rainbow Trouts, Basses, Catfishs, and other game fish. Swimming, Jogging, Fishing, Boating, Hiking, and Picnicking are some of the many outdoor activities done here within this Quarry Lakes Regional Area. With just a small fee of 5 dollars per vehicle for a parking space, I can definitely spend a few hours exploring this Entire Park😆!!!

Quarry Lakes are beautiful and conveniently located a few minutes walk from the Union City BART station. Fishing at the lake for rainbow trout is fun, relaxing and makes for a delicious dinner. The lake is perfect for a nice walk, fishing, having lunch or just sitting while taking in the sun and views. Highly recommend Quarry Lakes

Beautiful lake with a wide range of bird species. I saw people fishing, walking or jogging. It’s a great place to picnic, probably when it is not raining. There are also two large covered picnic areas (for when it’s raining.)

Trout & Catfish yes, based on daily limit of 5 per day per paid fishing and state license. Bass is recommended catch & release only.
Was just there today, did not see a kayak rental place, brought my own. You might have to call and ask...maybe one near the lake. Got a little windy today, so be ready....also, if you bring your own, get ready for them to inspect it. Paperwork has to be filled out, one page. By the front kiosk where you pay for the permit. Plus a small fee.
Not at all
The swimming area is currently closed due to Cyanabacteria(blue-green algae). You can find updates on their website at www.ebparks.com/news/displaynews.htm
Honestly not to sure but I heard there's some big ones in there. 20 years ago it great to fish there. Take chance you may catch a big one. It does get stock with fish best time to go is April your bound to at least catch a carp which I seen bigger ones then 18 inch's. They spawn around April so lots hundreds of new fish have hatch. Good luck and post your photo if you catch anything.
Anybody over 16 need ca fishing license to fish quary lake
Most likely to try to find some dead bodys
You also need to pay for parking and a permit at this location which is $5 each. Pets are an extra $2.
Yes you do! You need a CA state license for all individuals over 16 years old and a park specific license that you can buy when you arrive
Normally you can as long as whatever you have in the water is not gas propelled. As of right now the pandemic has the docks closed.10/04/20
I Have no clue....was about 1 month ago the last time they dropped 2300 1bs of trout
As of 06/08 the beach was close but there are other spots where a dog can enter into the water. I have seen couple of folks kayaking so I am assuming the dog can also enter into water from the same spot.
I don't know about any planned festivities, but it's definitely open Memorial Day.
Yes
No
Yes to both. Once you pay the entrance fee everything in there is free.
It's always free to use the trails also along Alameda Creek itheres trail free free free. They open at dawn and close a dark. I suggest going thru the town of Niles on the back side of the lakes more trails more parks and it's always free. Injoy your walk you won't be disappointed.
No
not advised at this park unless you plan to catch and release
If you plan to go there often, it would pay to get an annual parking permit. The good thing about the annual permit is that it is good at all the regional parks. I think it is $50.
Same fee every day, but if you don't mind a short walk you can park for free off Paseo Padre.
Can only swim in beach area at the main entrance ,Can't Swim In any fishing areas
You cannot enter by car after it closes. By walk - yes. And as much i recall, it closes at 7pm.
No go to Lake Del Valle
They have a drop box at the entrance front and back or just get it at the gate. Not a catch n cook angler lot of issues about that. Looks fun though
South end is shallow 50degree diiferent in deeper spot.
You need a State License, Daily Fishing Permit and Daily Parking Pass. Yes, the Park Police come and check. If caught without, it's a huge fine.
Fisherman's row, cast far 24-36 inch Flourocarbon leader using rainbow Powerbait on #10 mosquito hook. Good luck.
