You must be thinking of a different lake. Memorial Lake State Park, near the Gap, does not have platforms or swings or diving boards or beaches as they do not permit swimmimg.
Yes it is an excellent place to swim it has platforms out in the lake to swim to and swings and diving boards nice Beach.
