Plenty of paid parking on the island or across the isthmus in various garages.

There are parking lots there. I took the train and walked the 2.7 miles -it was a beautiful day and I walked along the lakefront.

Parking lots near Adler Planetarium. Special events can make parking scarce. Soldier Field parking is another possibility.

If you are going to the Hamilton exhibit there are shuttles from the Soldier field parking and planetarium lots.There is lots of signage to direct you.

There is a small lot by the old airport building. If you are just going to look around, you can park there. If there is an event of any kind, you'll have to park in the larger lots north near the planetarium.
