In your campsite and under your control, no problem. Also you can generally let them run on the beach, though this is kind of a gray area.
They'll warn you we always take ours every year
We have taken are rotti. And no leash at the camp site... And as long as the dogs Are well behaved and not leave your area you are okay with no leash... But at all other times and area's a leash is required.
