Depends on the day and the time. Weekends are hard unless you get there before noon, let's say around 10am. Side streets along Vernon Blvd help. Better to take the NY Ferry in.
It's hard to get parking over there
On the weekdays (M-F) is probably you can get a spot park in the middle day hours (2-4), but not in rush hours of morning or evening!
Go to one of the local parking garages. It's impossible to find street parking
I would park anywhere close because it's a nice walk.
