Sandy beach. Be sure to ckean up after your dog. The garbage cans are at the beginning of the paths that cross the dunes to the parking lot

Yes I would agree with Ali... what type of dog do you have? Unless your dog has very sensitive paws I've never known it to be a problem (their pads are pretty tough). If you're leash walking your dog and crushed shells are your concern it will be completely avoidable there's plenty of soft sand.

Shells were close to water the rest is sandy. We have 2 Goldens not an issue for them.

There is a ton crushed shells on the beach but it depends on the tide, the shells are fragile so they don't stay for long, it doesn't seem that dogs nor the owners mind it though, dogs shouldn't be bothered by it.
