It was one of the bloodiest prisons in the world and it housed every gang you could ever imagine and some of the inmates where transferred from the mental institution as well Moundsville is actually all native American burial grounds crazy but true
It is also directly across from a Native American burial mound. I'm sure that doesn't help!
Inmates were executed there & killed by other inmates. My son & I went on a night tour just after Halloween & caught orbs on video. You can also very clearly hear a knock from the stairwell ahead (no one was ahead in that section) right before I turn it off it appears the video moves aide to side & makes a weird noise. I've taken many videos with my phone & never had that happen before or since.
My daughter and I went last summer.. Disappointing as far as paranormal tours go.. Mostly just a history of the prison. It was a nice tour but lackef the paranormal aspect. We only did a day trip though.
