The restaurant has apperantly been torn down. Is a new McDonald's being built in its place. I see no mention of this McDonald's being closed. Google lists it as open.

Yes they are going to build a new McDonald's from the ground up. It's going to have kiosks, and mobile pickups. They are doing it to all of them..
