There is a white sand beach area dedicated to swimming. Anyone can swim there. With kids, more difficult to be social distant. All other water areas are for canoe/kayak and fishing. Some people were paddle boarding but I saw a HUGE snapping turtle and I would not swim other than where dedicated.
I 2nd that. The area for swimming is for kids and adults. The part of the lake that is for swimming is roped off but is still pretty large and last time I went, it was very clean. There is also a lifeguard on duty
