I think it safe the last time I want the water were open. but the water of shepherd lake was close. I don't no why it was close to the people. But wawayan lake are open to everyone.

The State tests waters on weekly basis. The results should be posted at the Park and perhaps online.
I believe if you call the park office they have that information and it's posted before you enter the park if it's safe or not to swim
