You'll need to take New Jersey transit (NJT) to NY Penn Station to get to the nyc subways. The Kenilworth is probably near an NJT station you can take an uber or walk to. Fares on NJT depend on distance. Check their website.
Take Lyft or Uber. Lots of cops in that area if you plan on drinking. There's also a small local town in the area
To ride the subway. $2.75 with reusable metrocard or $3 if buying a one ride ticket the subway can bring you to most locations or very close to them.
Lyft was about $80 from near JFK. That included a $20 NY-NJ fee. So travel was $60. Cut that in half and add the fee and my estimate is $50.
