2016 & 2017 Effingham Traminettes do not have any residual sugar. Traminette has a floral nose (think roses) that presents itself as having potential residual sugar (off dry is <3%) but these do not. It has a tropical/citrus finish and balanced acidity with a nice mouthfeel and lingering finish. Nice pairing with Pompano and Mahi Mahi. The 2015 Vintage had .5% residual sugar that offered an off dry front palate and ruby red grapefruit slightly tart finish.
I have to polietly disagree. It's semi dry with. .05% residual sugars. Still sweet but fruity on the palette. Not sicky sweet but not a true dry like Pinot G or Viognier.
It's definitely more on the dry side. It's pretty great. I would say that when you drink it, it has hints if strawberry and creme. As a wine club member it was pat of our three bottle pick up this past Sunday.
