I sat in the drive thru for 10 minutes on my lunch break only to be told that they don't serve shakes. If that's true then shouldn't there be a sign before you enter the drive thru?

McDonald's does sell shakes, so whoever told you they didn't was being lazy and didn't want to make one which is messed up.

It would be considerate of them, but in general the ice cream machine is broken more often than not from what I've seen. The shakes come from the same source so be prepared to not get a shake or sundae or flurry etc when you go there.
