If the sensor is bad compressor will not run look for the wires that plug into the A/C lines by the compressor or at the condenser next in front of the radiator is the A/C lines one will have a sensor you might see it behind the the grill you will see wires that connect to the aluminum A/C lines. I Dont know what vehicle or year you are working on. the sensor controls the clutch on the A/C pump
