Can you take water bottle with u

I had a metal water bottle but others had plastic bottles and no one stopped them from taking them. This is the first time I heard otherwise. We had a small cooler and simply put the empty bottles back inside. I'm a firm believer in not littering.

Hi Daphne, we do not permit a standard water bottle on to the river because of the potential litter issue. You may take a refillable jug with you that must be filled here, and this is only under certain circumstances outlined in policies. The DEP does not want water bottles taken on the river.
