I was given a pair of Luchesse (sp) boots. The left boot does not let my foot slide into the boot. The top of my foot presses against the area where the boot starts to form its top. My foot gets stuck there. Can that area be stretched?

Maybe.... You'd probably need to bring them in to be looked at to be sure.

All I know is that L.B.shoe repair has streched 4 or 5 of my. Boots to .my satisfaction.. I'm sure there's a number of factors to take in consideration to stretch the boots you're indicating is the problem
