Could be silly question but say you get to tired to make the full trip up and down, can I just set up a tent or is that a problem. Also I'm legitimately very experienced and a knowledgeable hiker but I don't move like I used to. Any help is great.

Boulderfield campsite is only option. Check with RMNP for details

There's only 8 spots at the Boulderfield campsite and you need a reservation. You're not supposed to set up a tent unless you're at a designated site. The RMNP website has all this info.

I was told near the Boulder field there's a spot to wilderness camp. Call The park ranger for details.
