You need something that receives the FM signal, some phones have FM receiver, but sometimes the operator has disabled it so you would want to test it before you go. We find the car stereo or boombox radio is the best.
Anything that can receive a FM signal. An app may have a delay, some phones have a built in radio receiver. A boombox would work too.
Maybe if you have a FM radio app. I'm honestly not sure because I used the car radio
