I cannot express my gratitude. Up all night with a sick senior dog. I called at 8 and they offered me an appointment at 10. I brought my dog in and the staff was gentle and welcoming to me and my baby. Dr. Dunn gave me what I needed to help my dog feel better, and he didn’t push unnecessary tests or treatments. The icing on the cake was the low bill, under 200 dollars for emergency exam, two medications, and two vaccines. This is a good place with good people.

We dropped off our two dogs last Friday for boarding over the weekend while we visited my soon to be mother in law that just had a knee replacement. This was not their first time there and we made it clear on previous occasions not to board them together because they do not get along. A few hours after drop off, I get a call stating our husky has bitten our Yorker after being walked and put back in the same kennel together. They also stated that I told them that was okay, which never happened. We have in writing a “boarding pass” we must fill out each time stating they are not to be together and that our Yorkie is animal aggressive. They continue to insist that they were given a verbal confirmation that the dogs could be together. Today, when my fiancé went to get them, she requested to speak to the owner at the recommendation of the very sweet vet that treated him after his injury. However, the treatment she received by Dr. Hassle was disgusting to say the least. He took ZERO responsibility even though he admitted to being informed that the paperwork says they must be kept separate. After verbally berating her to the point of tears, he reluctantly and condescendingly offered her a 50% discount even though he insisted it was OUR FAULT it occurred. We were only able to pay a portion of the bill and Brittany in the Inn offered to pay the difference out of her own pocket. They made a mistake, I know it happens. But to deny responsibility completely and force your employees to show more compassion than you do as the business owner is absolutely unacceptable! Our pets will not be returning there and we have decided to seek possible legal action as our yorkie’s is wound is still oozing a yellow substance more 3 days later and both dogs seem traumatized. Not to mention the horrific treatment my wife endured at the hands of Dr. Hassle and with our 16 year old son as a witness. She requested to speak to him in person but instead he sent the ladies that work there to “smooth things over” instead of being a man and facing the consequences of HIS ESTABLISHMENTS neglect in ensuring our specifications were followed. I attempted to reach out to him personally, but was told I needed to let it go. Even if every other employee there is amazing, having such despicable leadership with prevent us from ever trusting them with our pets again.

I switch from a vet I had in Palm Harbor over to Westlake. I like the interaction of the girls up front they're always very caring Pleasant and friendly I've seen a few of the Vets with my dogs and they have very good bedside manner they explain things to you and they don't try and shove shots and things of that nature down your throat. It's a little costly but today what isn't I would still go there no matter what

Having recently stopped using another animal hospital for a very long time, walking into Westlake was a breath of nice and fresh air. The staff were friendly and so was the awesome VetTech Megan. We met our new vet Dr Dunn aka AJ. The 3 of us liked him immediately (that would be me and my two adorable & goofy knuckleheads). My two fur-kids passed the initial examination with flying colors (thankfully). This office is our 'go-to-vet' and that's a good thing. I took some business cards to pass along to neighbors that have fur-kids because when I'm happy you surely will know that's a fact (jack) :~)

I finally decided on Operation Snip in Largo. They are professional, prompt, safe, and gentle. AND Operation snip was $200 Less expensive for feline spay! Well worth the 40 minute drive to Largo.
