Too expensive for a beat down looking hotel. The swimming pool look dirty and front office people were nice but while waiting to get our room key there flies flying around. It just look dirty is all but friendly people and at least we got a bed for the night I guess 🤷

Pros: Next to beach, cabin style decor, pet friendly rooms, friendly service. Cons: No elevators but has 3 stories (keep in mind if you have luggage, or old family/pets), No spare power outlets in room to charge devices, No shampoo and conditioner (may not matter for you but a good proxy for the care being put in), No AC, No window screen on window (so be ready for bugs, and keep an eye on your kids/pets), dirty carpets, old linen/blankets. Definitely one of the most beat down properties in Ocean Shores.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! We went during the sawdust festival and the rooms were 200.00 per night. Ok... The place looks 70 years old with no upgrades. That's first... There are holes in the veneer on the outside of the building. There was also a fire at some point because the siding is melted and falling off. When you walk up the stairs, there are holes there too as well as smoke damage to the windows. The room doesn't look too bad but there are only heaters in there. No A/C. The mattresses are filthy under the sheets. It was hot and we opened the windows. No screens. The plug in the bathroom was literally coming out of the wall and didn't work as well as the plug in between the two beds. We stepped outside and looked over and there were discarded mattress and random boxes just sitting up against the building as well as some broke down cars that someone is working on. One of the locks on our door was broken and the door moved if you shook it even just a little. We were supposed to stay 2 days and checked out after one. We stayed one night only because there was absolutely nothing else available. On the way out, this guy told us that the place is run by a slumlord. No kidding...

The rooms were small, dingy, and dirty with only two pillows a bed. The lock on the door was busted and wouldn't work, showing signs of a break-in at some point that was never addressed. As such it was troubling to take my service dog out at night while the room was basically unlocked for potential robberies. There was a musty smell in both the room and the halls. The hot tub was not working, the pool had hair floating everywhere on it, and the sauna looked half renovated. While there was no deposit needed, they would charge $50 for every key lost. The only upside was that we had an oceanside view.
