Love it.

Very clean park - took the pup on a hike there and there was plenty of room and trails to explore

Really nice trails that are marked well.

Amazing place, maintained so well! Beautiful views, no trash or something like that, plenty of photo opportunities. Beautiful animals just walking around, kids were just excited about horses, like oh my gosh is it horses just passing by)). No bikes allowed and no dogs allowed

Hi, there. There are not restroom facilities at Stroud. We hope you enjoy your visit!
Hi, Jon. With the pandemic, Stroud Preserve has experienced three times the usual visitation. The parking can't be expanded due to adjacent wetland, nor can the preserve support the additional people expanded parking would bring. In April, our volunteer preserve ambassadors will return and be on site at peak times in the parking lot to greet visitors and let them know when the lot is full. Your best bet is to visit early in the morning. Thanks and please consider becoming a member of Natural Lands!
I hiked there last weekend and everything was open.
Hi, Jeni. It's very typical for a nonprofit nature preserve to have no restrooms. We are not a public park and have very limited funding. Our preserves are private property owned by a nonprofit that we open up to everyone, free of charge. Our facilities are meticulously maintained trails, forests we supplant with additional seedlings, wetlands that have been restored to their biodiverse beauty, meadows with wildflowers and pollinators, and all that gorgeous open space that will never be developed. Yes, pee before you visit. Here are the rest of our "know before you go" rules: https://natlands.org/visit/before-you-visit/
Hi, Trey. Natural Lands/ChesLen Preserve doesn't provide canoes. You can bring your own or utilize one of the rental companies in the area. Thank you.
Hello, Larry. Trapping, hunting, and fishing are prohibited at Stroud Preserve and all of Natural Lands' nature preserves across the region. Thank you for asking. You can learn more here: https://natlands.org/visit/before-you-visit/hunting-fishing/ and here: https://natlands.org/visit/before-you-visit/
