My parents bought into this timeshare in 1984 and I can't even remember all the times we came here. Throughout my childhood, "vacation" was equivalent with coming here. Park Place is not a fancy resort, but whenever I'm able to come here, I think of good times with family now passed. This is a great home base for exploring Ocean Shores and even venturing further around the Washington coast. It's a short beach walk to the jetty. I can remember climbing on those rocks as a kid, and it's neat even to walk alongside the jetty and see the anemones and other creatures who have made their home there. The beach waxes and wanes over time. At one point in the late 90s, there was concern that Park Place and its neighboring condominiums would need to be moved back from the encroaching water. A sea wall of giant boulders was erected and the beach was only a very narrow strip even at low tide. But when I visited in 2016, that wall of boulders was almost completely buried and the beach extended several hundred feet. On shorter timescales, you'll find the beach different each morning you awake here. Some places will be steep. Others will have tide pools and small, temporary islands . You never know what the beach will look like.
