This hotel is a gem in Deptford New Jersey !! Close to Philadelphia as well as shopping and restaurants. Hotel lobby and hallways were nice and clean. The rooms were very clean , and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and kind. Would definitely recommend this hotel ! Very nice for a very good price !!! Definitely coming back .

I usually will write a negative review if a place deserves one but I enjoyed my stay here. Went for a cousins wedding for 2 nights and the process was very smooth. Nice rooms, not too expensive. Staff was great, Jocelyn at the front desk was very nice and even arranged for me to get some room swaps because the sleeper sofa was not available. Also they had no problem with us enjoying some drinks on the lobby and making me some key cards when I misplaced them. On top of that, my father forgot his breathing machine in the room and they boxed it up and shipped it out via FedEx after I sent them the label, thanks Larry! Thank you for a great weekend!

In all fairness, I tried to give this hotel the opportunity to do the right thing though they refused. I tried to find hotels to stay at last minute because someone in my family tested positive for Covid and as I am at high risk I could not stay in my home. I looked on Expedia and found this hotel. However, I was not totally convinced I wanted to stay there as I was looking for a hotel that had a small kitchen in the room as I would be there for two weeks and the Courtyard does not. I stepped away from my computer and came back an hour later and, apparently, I hit a key that booked the room. When I found out that is what happened I contacted Expedia. They told me that they do not have the authority to refund the money so I should go over to the hotel directly so it didn't look like I was a no-show and the money would most likely be refunded. I went to the hotel an hour later, talked to the person behind the desk though he was unable to make the decision. He suggested I call the manger directly. I called and left a message for the manager, Mr. Clarence Grant, three times. I even played phone tag with someone named "Domingo."I even wrote an email to the manager. At no time did I receive a response. The charge was $136.40 (for one night's stay), which really isn't the point. I didn't stay there at all. I attempted to rectify the problem. Expedia said they couldn't do anything. The Courtyard by Marriott could not do anything. I've been a Marriott patron for a long time and even am a part of their rewards program. I've been the liaison with a group of 30 who books an event year after year at a Marriott hotel. No longer will we be staying there. If a huge corporation like Marriott has to "keep" $136.40 from someone who made an honest mistake and never stayed in their hotel that tells me all about who they are and why I will not be comfortable staying at their facilities going forward. Keep this in mind when making your reservations. Even during Covid they show they are all about the bucks. $136.40 of them!
