These reviews are too critical. I though the beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. The A/C didn't smell moldy. The staff was friendly and the TV was great. The hotel is in a great location for Sesame Place which I think is the reason why they can slack in certain aspects: the customers will keep coming even if the facilities aren't perfect. Carpets in general are always dirty even without visible dirt, so a "dirty" or "clean" carpet looks the same to me. This is what you get in an older hotel. I actually thought that they did a great job with upkeep considering I did see any peeling paint/wallpaper anywhere. Until Sesame Place moves, we are stuck with this hotel. It could be much worse.

The location is fantastic because it's close to alot of things to eat and do, such as sesame street, which is 12 minutes away from this hotel. The hotel is not modernized, but it's okay. When we arrived, we got complimentary gifts for the kids because we had booked through the sesame street site. The towels had stains, and the bathroom was dirty. There is no microwave in our room. Breakfast is not served on Monday, so we had to find something to eat out at that time. They have an arcade and pool, and that was a plus. Overall, it's an okay hotel; I would book it again to go to sesame street place again.

The staff at the hotel is great, they are consistent and professional. The bar is fantastic. The two bartenders I met were great, the drinks were amazing. The reason why I am giving 1 star is the actual facilities. The hotel is run down, out of date and poorly maintained. You can see damage to the exterior of the building as you drive in. The rooms were dusty the ceilings you can tell were obviously painted over to hide water damage. I did not feel comfortable enough to take my shoes off in the room. If it wasn't that I had already pre paid for the hotel, I would have checked out immediately after seeing the room. I have stayed here before in previous years but this time was the worst. The staff is not at fault of how management has allowed this building to go down. I will be in the Philly area again in the next coming weeks and trust I have booked elsewhere.

Update: The owner has Not step one foot on the premises. If so, they will notice the bathtubs are Not thoroughly cleaned! Clearly, being a guest as of This morning I can assure you there is Only One working elevator (which was dirty as well). Again, This hotel needs a better cleaning staff and better management. This hotel is declining. Horrible. Simply Horrible. Traveled from Maryland to Philadelphia looking for a nice and clean hotel. However, we found this hotel is dirty and only has one working elevator. The rooms are outdated. The bath tub is extremely dirty. There is a ring of dirt around the tub in room 315. Could not take a shower. Therefore, we switched rooms. The second room was just as horrible. The second bath tub is still peeling, rusty and dirty. It was cold. Turned up the heat, it’s still a major draft coming from the windows. We froze throughout the night and checked out early. The rooms need to be thoroughly cleaned, renovated and upgraded.
