I would give these horrible wretched people zero stars if I could. I made an appointment with my regular doctor and got an email saying to check my insurance. I called Healthshare and they told me that I no longer had legacy that I had switched to Care Oregon for medical back in November. I would never switch to Care Oregon I love my doctor. I did call back in November to switch my dental to Care because I couldn't get an appointment with Advantage. I guess the lady switched everything to Care and put a note that that was an exception for me to switch. When I called this morning, the man I talk to you said it would be no problem to switch me back to legacy. Then all of the sudden he said he couldn't. I asked if I could please speak to somebody above him. Instead of transferring me to somebody he, I'm guessing pretended to be texting with his supervisor. Which, surprise, surprise the answer was no.I haven't seen anyone under Care, I would never have had the lady switch me to Care if I had known that's what she was doing. I know it's as easy as literally putting in legacy. They're just the kind of people that like to say no to people and like to be the bearer of bad news. How much you want to bet if this was real insurance and not poor people insurance this would never happen. Now I have to either cancel my appointment with my doctor or pay $99 for a video visit. Ive been trying all morning and I haven't been able to find a doctor that takes Care Oregon, accepts new patients and is in my area other than the disgusting Mid County Health Clinic where, I'm sorry, I'm not up for catching covid or God knows what other contagious diseases lurk in that place. I seriously will pray every night for the rest of my entire life that the people I spoke with today (that got their little thrill from denying my simple request which in turn is making my life a nightmare and would have taken them three minutes to fix) get the karma that they deserve. This company is like when you're back in school and the teacher has the students grade each other's papers, they're the kids that got excited when their classmate got the answer wrong and they got to mark a big red X. Or the kind of people that when they see you turn on your blinker they speed up so to prevent you from switching lanes. God help me I hope I don't have HealthShare forever. I imagine if I do I won't be living that long anyways.

My first call last week, the day I got my member packet and after waiting on hold over 40 mins, the rep was monotone, bored and came off as though she could care less about what I was asking her regarding my health and the changes to my providers. Her tone seemed to berate my doctors office because "I don't need a authorization for that and they SHOULD already know that. You're fine for 180 days anyways." and then a quick, "anything else?" as she tried to end the call ASAP, which I understand with hundreds of us calling, worried... but, Still sad. I would have welcomed a new member and tried to retain me for when I am working again and when their company isn't my only option. I remember my first call with Family Care and finally feeling cared for... It's sad. I lost my healthcare and got health coverage. We'll see how it goes and I'll update as needed, but the first impression is gone.

Healthshare of Oregon is not a plan, they are a management company for other insurance agencies, dealing with the Oregon Health Plan, and Oregon Health Board. You would need to be assigned a particular plan, which they can help you with, and most of them will cover some vision insurance. Plans vary. Good luck!
My advice would be to call healthshare at their Portland area phone number, or their toll free number, which can be easily accessed on Google, or any other search engines. Once you've gotten ahold of them, follow the phone prompts that you will get, to speak to a customer service agent, who can answer all those questions for you, and if they can't, request a supervisor, as they should be able to answer those questions for you, and if not, a supervisor should be looking into retraining them. I'm not impressed with healthshare, but at least they can answer your questions most directly. Always best to go to the source, rather than asking Google guides on matters that we really have nothing to do with, or would have very little internal knowledge of. Good luck!
I would suggest you call healthshare directly. They are listed, or you could simply Google their number. You're asking Google guides for your answers, and we are not part of any business. It is always best to ask questions directly to the source of your answer, rather than getting second and third hand advice from people who don't know what they're talking about, in any case. Good luck.
Call healthshare directly, they are listed in Portland, and ask them what they need from you. They will either take your information, or they may refer you to Oregon Health Plan, to take your information, depending on what is necessary. But, by all means do it quickly, as you may be in Jeopardy of losing your benefits for not reporting a change, if you wait too long. Good luck!
If you're on health share call them and see what your options are
There is no billing department at Health Share, all the claims get sent to the medical, dental or mental health plan that the member is assigned to.
Too long! But your Dr, Dentist, etc can look it up on their computer! Hope that helps
Most Dr.s and pharmacies can Look up to see if you have insurance
Fred meyers, Albertsons safeway.keiser have own pharmacy inside at drs
Health Share is a coordinator, not insurance. They can tell you who your insurance is.
No. Just some technical issues with their phone system.
