James was wonderfully sweet and got straight into immersing us when we arrived. I thought his in-character was so casually hilarious and adorable throughout. I've never taken part in an escape room while my partner's done four rooms before and our brain cells combined managed to finish with 13 minutes left — with the cutest hints from James when we went off the deep end and overcomplicated some ideas. This was such a fun first foray for me and I'm definitely meaning to look into their other rooms now!

Absolutely enjoyed our date night here. James was great! He was in character as soon as he opened the front door to let us in and he had the best kind of humor. The puzzles were great and some of them surprised us. So many laughs! Loved it!

Four of us went to Jungle Ransom over the weekend. This was our first escape room and we all found it to be more fun than expected! Pulling up to the nondescript office building seemed like the first piece of a mystery. Were we about to enter a horror movie? Our host, James, explained what to do and what to expect, and was overall organized and cheery. He radioed in a couple of times to let us know we were on or off the track. We didn't want to go to one that seemed scary, and this was just mystery, not creepy stuff. For those who are new, there were many types of puzzles to solve to get codes to unlock boxes, which led to more clues and puzzles. For us newbies, this was the right amount of challenge, and we were able to escape in the allotted time. Four minds seemed like the correct amount to figure things out. It was fun and we'll definitely be trying out the other Escapism rooms around town!

A fun room, my girlfriend and I escaped with 50 seconds to spare! It was just us two - we had only done one other escape room before and didn’t beat it. A very good experience. Price isn’t cheap ($30 a person), but competitive with other PDX area escape rooms. Big compliment: the puzzles were approachable to start figuring out - as in you don’t need to know any weird cultural references or familiarization with Morse code. Some escape rooms seem to assume their average players know these things. This one didn’t. The one-man staff was good at his job. He helped a lot with solid instructions, direction and hints. I would recommend this one, especially to beginners.

Questions & Answers

Hi, I have a friend who is clasturphobic, so he isn’t sure if he would want to go. I’m wonder about the size the area we work in is. Like the size of a classroom, office space, ect. Thank you. Also, how far in advanced would you have to schedule it?

It's a room with a series of puzzles that you have to solve to get out of it. If you don't finish in one hour then the bad guys win.
