i drove past today, and all the young men outside were extreamly nice, they are a great contribution to the neighborhood and are hoping they are feeling as welcome as they are! Id be very interested in learning more about islam and the culture based on our interaction. Heres hoping for a community night!

My husband and I are neighbors of the new Islamic Center of Kuwait in South Ogden. We have watched the building slowly transform into a beautiful Mosque. We have been so curious to see the inside and learn about our new neighbors. Thursday evening, one of the Imams (I think Mohammad Al-Tiger) gave us a wonderful tour of the most beautiful interior. We also learned more about Islam than either of us knew our entire lives. We learned we have many simaliarties. It was easy to feel warmth, peace & love in this new community. Just a few hours later we learned of the horrific terrorist attacks on two Mosques in New Zealand. We mourn for the loss of life; for those injured in pain & despair, fighting for their lives in hospital and for the many families who have lost loved ones. We pray nothing so horrible will ever happen here in South Ogden! Sometimes it feels as if some people in power, in politics and even some in the media are trying to divide us all. We don't have to listen to them. Instead, we can remember no matter our backgrounds, our beliefs, our culture or colour; we are much more alike than different. We all face challenges in this journey of life. We feel pain, we bleed, we cry. We laugh, we smile. At times we rejoice in family & good friends. At times we feel alone & rejected. At times we are strong. At times we are weak. The truth is, we need each other. We will not make it through this journey unscathed. Nonetheless, as we open our hearts & minds, with brotherhood & sisterhood, we will complete our journey with much more fulfillment, happiness and even joy! ........Thank you Imam. Welcome to South Ogden!

Wonderful people, beautiful place and amazing feelings, lovely community to be with. More specs on the Masjid to pray for both genders with expand space for both kitchen and bathrooms. New update for the library with organized set up. Bigger parking lots and dining room with a lot more... loving warmer ethnicity over here. Allah bless us all.
