Truly an amazing meal! Four of us had dinner here and opted for the 6 Course Tasting Menu. This is the right choice - trust me. It is pricey, but for a meal this mind blowing, it is absolutely worth it. Staff was friendly and provided us with an outstanding evening. Chef was a Gandalf the Grey class kitchen magician. Each course was perfectly flavored, seasoned and presented. We all agreed that that these table-specific dishes were 10/10 - every one. We will be back, and cannot wait to try your next ideas. I do not remember the names, but here is what we were served - photo captions

My husband and I celebrated his birthday at Verbena last night, and it was the best meal out we have had in years. Each course was simply delicious! The spring salad included pickled carrots, green beans and beets which provided great textures and taste. The striped bass was cooked perfectly, and the carrot ginger sauce on the seared duck breast was a delicious and welcome change from typical sweet sauces. The Rib eye was tender and cooked to perfection. I was so full that I contemplated taking the dessert home, but after one bite of the lemon curd tart, that was not going to happen. Service was attentive and gracious. We’ll be back very soon! Kudos to Chef Scott - we’re fortunate to have you in KS.

We visited with two friends and the experience left us very disappointed. I am not sure what the allure is in this place. Our 3-course menu was barely enough to snack on and we found nothing complex or profound when it comes to flavor profiles. I guess that in order to love their food you must reside in rural PA.

If you are looking for a fine dining experience in the Wilmington, DE area this may be your place. Four of us dined there on a Friday evening, for the (6) course tasting menu ($105.00per person). Tasting menu is presented on Friday and Saturday nights only. The menu changes daily depending on what chief finds at market. (This is a farm to table process) The web site shows a SAMPLE menu; however, you won’t know what you are having until it arrives on the table. Since this is a BYOB is makes it a little hard to decide what wines to bring. Food is very good, but some of the ‘bites’ seemed a little disjointed (i.e., some of the bites were difficult to figure out how to eat them to get the experience the chief may have intended). As I noted you don’t know what you are having until it arrives on the table and other than a brief description by the server no other information is forth coming on what you are eating. A single sheet of course descriptions would go a long way in helping you understand what is being served. (I have enclosed photos but since the menu changes every day they are simply for your viewing pleasure). Service was good, however we had to slow down the pace by eating slower since the first three courses came out almost on top of each other. They offer a three course Pre Fixe on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for $55.00. Parking is ample across the street ant the city parking garage.
