It's been a long time that I've been in an ULTA store where the staff actually offers to assistance you, so that was a pleasant surprise. Store is very well stocked and organized.

I got two items from ulta as a gift, they didn't match my skin tone so I went to see if I could exchange them for the same product but in my shade. The lady asked if I had a receipt or a number that they would be under I said no as they were a gift. She I formed me she couldn't do a refund to which I replied I didn't want a refund I wanted to exchange the product for the exact same product just in my shade. She said she couldn't do that that she could only give me a refund. So I said ok, she then said she could only give me a refund for the lowest price this product has ever been listed for in the store, so i said that was still fine, I would like that to happen so I can put it towards the proper shade then she simply left. She said "ok you have a good day" and then walked away. I also asked her where i could find the same product, twice, and she ignored me both times. I walked around the store and finally the product, no one else asked me if I could find anything. The employees joked around about fighting each other, and talking bad about whomever closed the day before as well as talking bad about other customers. I doubt I'll be going back to this particular ulta again as they were just too rude to deal with again.

I’ve been shopping here for years but the last time I was in the redheaded woman I think the manager treated my mom and I very weird. I constantly am being asked am I doing okay and they follow me around the store like I’m stealing or something. I feel very uncomfortable while here. I’m never coming back and will drive from independence to Overland Park or blue springs, they are so much nicer and don’t make me feel weird. A few years ago I tried to return a Mario badescu drying lotion because it burned my skin and she wouldn’t let me because I guess it was over the return date which is fine but then she went and shook it up which you aren’t supposed to do because it ruins the product. Also when I was shopping around Black Friday I asked about the Kylie Skin toner if they had anymore in the back because it was on sale and she said they weren’t going to carry it anymore which I thought was strange because the brand hasn’t even been there that long. Idk if what she said was true or to just keep me from coming back in.

Cassie and her team are very friendly! I love Ulta and my one experience visiting this location just further confirms my love for the store. I was able to complete my “The Ordinary” skincare line. I was missing my niacinamide & zinc and they had it!
