No compassion, no empathy, completely dis interested. Nancy or Leslie or whoever? dodged my calls, wouldn’t return my voicemail messages, strung me along for two weeks! I finally caught the receptionist on the phone and she said “oh no, we don’t have the funds to help you”. I said can I get any help with even some of this bill? “sorry but no”. Huge disappointment : (

Love Inc's service area is North Marion County, which includes the communities listed on the "About Us" tab at loveincnmc.org. Congregations Helping People is a Salem-based organization that serves Salem in ways quite similar to Love INC.
Housing is not part of Love INC's focus. However, Shawntel is correct. Love INC's network of resource providers and community connections continues to increase. Between our Church Partners, Community Partners, City Task Force contacts, and volunteers, we can often provide introductions and point someone in the right direction.
Love INC has never stopped accepting furniture and beds/mattresses. The demand is high as "bedlessness" remains a great need for those we serve. What has changed is our collaboration with Ray of Hope Community Thrift Store, who processes all of Love INC's incoming donations (including furniture), stocks our furniture warehouse, and uses their truck and paid staff to handle all Love INC furniture pickups 2-3 times a week at no charge. So the answer to your question is a resounding yes. We continue to need beds and you can schedule Love INC pick ups through the thrift store. Call Ray of Hope at (503) 773-5250 for details and to schedule a pick up. Ask for Charlie. Subject to warehouse capacity and immediate demand, we sometimes are unable to immediately accept larger items. Thank you for thinking of us.
