We are retired and live in Sperry, Okla. but visit western Colorado often. Wish that Murdoch's had a store near me. The Montrose store is the one we frequent. They have great service, the employee's are always helpful and they deserve the 5 star rating. Better than we have locally.

Purchased a Youth atv, “new” condition, brought home and added and oil, did not start, took back to store and they test battery, does start up, however; gear does not work. I no longer feel comfortable keeping the atv so I proceed to ask for a refund, associate offered a replacement so I ask if I may test the atv prior to taking it home, she said it had no fuel oil. I explained I had filled up the one I was returning so I felt the need for them to fill out and test, they refused. I asked if they would credit the extra expense I incurred in oil and fuel and they refuse. I felt like the associate nor the manager cared for the inconvenience they caused in selling a faulty item, were very cold in processing the return.

If I could give this establishment no stars I would. I’m not your typical customer (cowboy boots, carhartt, etc.) so from the moment I walk in I feel the eyes on me. I do not feel welcome. No one greets me. My brother and I came in a few days ago, we walk to the back of the store, exchange a few nice words with the gentleman in firearms and go on about my shopping. A few minutes go by and the same gentleman from before asked us if we had lost a wallet, and we did. So he told us the manager was holding it for us. We thanked him and proceeded to the front of the store. When we reach the front, we asked kindly about the missing wallet, the store manager rudely says “what’s the name?” He brother tells her his name and she hands it back to him as he’s thanking her she scoffed something under her breath and rolled her eyes at us. Me and my brother looked at each other In disbelief because we didn’t understand what the problem was. We felt that was rude so we left the store, we got to the car and decided we actually needed to get what we came in for so we went back in to retrieve said item, came to the front to pay, that’s when the store manager came out from behind the counter making it seem like she wasn’t interested in checking us out, so my brother apologized for any inconvenience we could of caused and she cut him off mid sentence and said he didn’t need the attitude, the situation escalated from there my brother tried to reason with the manager but she didn’t care what we had to say. She kicked us out of the store and told us she will be trespassing us and calling the police. Watch out if you don’t look a certain way in murdochs they’ll target you. I believe the store managers name is Melanie.
