My husband bought me flowers for our 32nd anniversary Friday. He has always got me flowers from Safeway and they are usually beautiful and last a couple weeks. By Sunday these were all dead. So I took them back Monday, with the receipt. As soon as I walked in the gal gave me "that look". I told her my dilemma and all she said to me, literally the whole time I was there, do you have a receipt. She didn't say I'm sorry, happy anniversary, can I replace these (they were in a cute ceramic pitcher), she just rang up the refund and gave me my money back, and said nothing!! I wanted flowers, not a refund. I was in tears and wasn't going to spend a dime in her department.

WAY Understaffed, especially during peak hours.. Management ignores input to hire more employees. I know 2 people who work here and they only give them 4 hours a day. Changing my main store to wince from now on

5/5/22 Avoid if you can. Rude, lazy, and unpleasant bunch. The three employees that I interacted with at the store were all unbelievably rude and one of them even claimed to be a store front manager. I came here to return some items that I purchased the night before. I had the receipt and I even entered my phone number for the Safeway account which was used on the purchase. The rude woman who was working at the customer service desk passive aggressively treated me like I was a thief and ultimately refused to return my items. I don't shop for everything at Safeway but I do shop for quite a lot of items and if this is how I get treated I can't imagine how other people who rarely shop here get treated by these people. The person working at the customer service desk did not even have manners to greet somebody when they walked up. From what I could tell, all she cared about was ice cream and one too many of them at that. Horrible group of people working here.

Went with the wife to get some last minute thanksgiving supplies at Safeway, because they were 1 of the 2 stores that were open. Well we were grateful and all that they were open but some of the staff were sorta rude but only because it's rough being one of the two stores open oňn a holiday. When we were walking around to find the items we need, and some we didn't. We then spotted this in the meat department. I was impressed with my ability to not run out of the store screaming. It was not on sale, but it was for sale. I was appalled at what I found. You can see a vast amount of color difference. I would never of bought the ham but it still should not be out for customers buy thatm

It is back to pre covid procedures. Spray bottle you have to handle and paper you have to tear.
