I have been coming to the bike peddler for over 10 years. I buy my bikes there, and get 100% of maintenance done there as well. I have never been disappointed. The service is top notch. I recently had a significant amount of work done on my bicycle at the Bike Peddler. They did such a good job that it feels like a brand new bicycle. Thank you Bike Peddler! I am a customer for life!

I had an issue with an e-bike I ordered online, right out of the box. Took it to a shop down the street and they were rude- to the point that I just left, and walked down the street to the Bike Peddler. I was greeted, music was playing, and everyone seemed to be in great spirits. I was told what was wrong with my bike, and they even fixed it a day early. VERY reasonably priced, cheery people. You can tell they care about being a part of the community. Great experience!

We had such a fantastic experience renting bikes here. Their prices are great, and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The woman who helped us went out of her way on her day off to pick up the bikes from us on a Sunday. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to rent bikes in Salem! They had a great selection of bikes to purchase too.

Yes they do have electric bikes in stock, they are incredible too!
Most bike shops don't advise putting motors on bicycles that aren't designed to house them. A bike like the one you're describing isn't designed to put up with the stress, and would likely fail and injure you, so they wouldn't be able to help you put one on. That's something you'd have to DIY
