We had a borderline terrible stay here. When we checked in, the lobby was filthy, and there was only 1 person working the desk. Rooms were clean enough, but you cannot tell that the hotel has been getting patched and repaired just to keep things going. Hotel room was disappointing. Super small TV and flat pillows, not what I expected for a suite. And our last morning there, we were woken up by a faulty fire alarm at 4:50am and again at 8:10am....I won't be back unless something significant changes

The Best Hotel in Frankfort Kentucky. The Hot breakfast is good the rooms are clean and comfortable. Indoor pool and great parking. Stop in but not around Kentucky State University homecoming lol rooms are usually booked.

Favorite thing about this hotel was the water feature. ❤️ Rooms are a bit dingy- walked around in my socks and sandals, never barefoot. Had a towel that had blood stains on it- So gross! Shower heads are raised up which was awesome for us tall people. The bottom of the bathtub was dirty- all it needs is a magic eraser and a little elbow grease and it would be spotless in there. Parking was a bit difficult if you're not familiar with the area. They have some parking out front and a few spots in the back. If you're not able to snatch up one of those spots, you have to park across the street in the parking garage.

Our room was dingy and outdated. The best part about it was the shower head even though the bathtub drained very slowly. The bed was not comfortable and the pillows were cheap and flimsy. There were stains on the carpet and the ceiling had spots flaking off. After our first night I got some extra towels and wash rags (all were thin and could be used as 100 grit sandpaper) and coffee for our room and found out the next morning a huge wad of hair was inside one of the bath towels.....gross! The breakfast they cooked was nasty, so we just ate oatmeal, muffins, and bagels. The cream cheese tasted old and spoiled. No fresh fruit was available both mornings we were there. The staff, including front desk people were at least friendly. For as much as they charge per night, we expected a nice room, good warm breakfast, and hairless soft towels. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Capital Plaza Hotel.

Yes, they have a large room for breakfast and dinner parties. However, it may need to be reserved in advance.
