A Portland signature restaurant that doesn't disappoint. Beautiful wood interior and historic nautical ambiance. Our late lunch service was fantastic and quick. Everything was fresh and homemade - you could tell in every deeply flavorful bite. They do have a couple of non-seafood items: we tried the chicken sandwich- the best!!! The fish tacos were prefect, and two were enough. Excellent prices!

I came across these old photos that I took a while back and I remember this as being a great place to have oysters on the half shell, fried chicken, oyster shots, and clam chowder. They also have some other seafoods, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Although I find it to be expensive here, and the craft beer selection could be better. Other than that, all else was good. Convenient downtown location as well.

Great happy hour especially for oysters on Monday - 6 for 12. Delicious calamari, seafood all around truly. I loved the oyster soup (huge oysters, slurpable broth) and the fish tacos were tender and light. I definitely want to return and slurp dozens more oysters. A great, slightly casual, but still classically delicious dining experience. Love the decor too!

My best friends and I made a girls trip out of Portland. One of my girls was craving oysters, Dan & Louis was 2 of 2 oyster bars that were great choices. We also got extremely lucky with our reservations because it was happy hour! We ended up with 4 dozen ray oysters on a half shell. Great options they gave us 2 of each oyster from the card they gave us that told us where each oyster was from. Very tasty and creamy and it absolutely makes you want more. We were definitely oyster'd out by the end of our meal. We also got the shrimp cocktail which wasn't really shrimp cocktail, my friend referred to them as "maggots" horrible way to describe them but in her defense that's really what they looked like. Still worth the visit especially during happy hour!
